HENRIETTE EMILIE BERTOUILLE Peacefully with her children at her side, at the Taché Centre in Winnipeg on Saturday, September 6, 2008, Mrs. Henriette Bertouille of Treherne, MB passed away at the age of 78 years. Henriette (née Colliou) Bertouille was born on May 4, 1930, and was raised in Saint-Laurent, MB. From 1948 to 1949 she taught in the Swan Lake/Bruxelles, MB district, where she met her future husband Victor Bertouille. They married on June 7, 1950 and resided for one year in Swan Lake. In 1951 she and Victor purchased S 1-7-10W, where they resided until Victor's passing in 2004. In 2005 she moved to Centre Taché, residing there until her demise. She leaves to mourn her passing, three daughters: Vivien (Jefferson) Knight of Miami, FL, Gisèle (Dana) Sundmark of Port Moody, BC and Caroline (Firmin) Foidart of Winnipeg; eight grandchildren: Gabrielle and Perry Knight, Jordan and Joël Sundmark, and Adam, Philippe, Vincent-Paul and Rielle Foidart; one son-in-law Tony (Kathleen) Kinal; her sisters and brother Annette Barlow, Joséphine Rainville and Louis Colliou; her in-laws, Stella Colliou, Irène Colliou, Lorraine Collier, Anne-Marie Folster; and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Victor Bertouille in 2004; one daughter Carmen in 1988; her father Alexis Colliou and her mother Alphonsine (née Mercier); her sisters, Alexina Rainville, Rose Colliou, and Dorothée Colliou; her brothers, Aimé Colliou, Joseph Colliou, Jean Colliou and Edmond Collier; by her in-laws, Nestor Bertouille and Clementine (née Dobbelaere), Martha (née Bertouille) and Germain Vekeman, Jeff Barlow, Omer Rainville, Emile Rainville and Lois Colliou. Prayers and viewing will be at 10:30 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass in the Sainte-Marie de Saint-Vital Roman Catholic Church, 29 Des Meurons, Winnipeg on Wednesday, September 10 at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Father Gérard Dionne officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Notre-Dame Parish Cemetery at Notre-Dame de Lourdes, MB. The family would like to thank the staff of Foyer Notre-Dame de Lourdes, and the staff of Centre Taché Centre, where Henriette resided for the past three and one half years.
